The Gryphon returns to the CMSD with a traversal of the Beethoven piano trios across our three regional series venues over one weekend. Join us as we rediscover the way Beethoven gradually realized the full potential of the piano trio genre, from his early works as a 22-year-old pianist-composer who descended on Vienna from his native Bonn in 1792, to the mature master who paid tribute to the son of the Habsburg Emperor in his “Archduke” Trio of 1811.
